Great Southern Oysters is located in Denial bay South Australia.
Pacific oysters are grown on our farm from spat, which is sourced from local South Australian hatcheries. The oyster spat (seed) starts out at a size of approximately 5 millimeters and over a period of about eighteen months to two years while feeding on the nutrient rich waters of the bay the oysters grow to maturity. The oysters are then allowed to condition (fatten) until they are ready for the market.
Fresh oysters can be purchased direct from the farm shop either whole or shucked.
